Spring is in the air! Yesssss!
Finally the sun has come out and the temp is up (for now anyways) I have had "Precious" out today for nice little drive. A few runs previously, I had considered wearing a touque to keep the tips of my ears from getting frostbite. I decided to forego the head gear because it would not have appear very manly. My better half thinks I look like a crazy old fool driving around in freezing weather. No more of that! Spring is finally here! I will now get serious about the spit and shine. First is to the dent geek to remove 2 small pings, one in each door. Then off with the lip spoiler to get a fresh coat of paint (I got too close to some juniper shrubs). The new (to me!) 18" OZ Superleggra rims are getting powder coated gun metal grey this week. They were peeling a bit more than I realized when I picked them up so it's another $200. By then the new shoes will be here. I putting Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec 265/35/18 and 225/40/18 on. From the reviews this should be all the tire I could possibly need albeit a bit pricey! The OZ's came with a worn set of same size Goodyear F1 Eagles that I tried out over some bumps and around some corners. The only time there was a rub was going over a large speed bump somewhat too fast. I now have two pairs of 50% worn front tires (OEM Bridges and 18" GoodYear F1 Eagles) that I don't know what to do with! Any suggestions?
Finally, I would really like to convert the Fahrenheit to Celsius on the instrument panel.
I used Fahrenheit for over half my life but I am now truly converted to Celsius. I even had to get my I-phone out and convert 66 degrees F to 18.8 degrees C on my ride today to see if it was near the predicted high. (which it was)
So if anyone knows how, could you enlighten me?
Thanks
p.s. There are signs the recession might be turning the corner, what do you think?

Our S is a 2004 model, so we have to rough it with no outside temperature gauge.
We have them in our other vehicles, and kind of miss it in the S.
Spring is making a temporary stop here in the Northeast US, it's going to be cold again by next week.
And I too hope the economy is beginning a recovery. It's been a longgggggg recession.
I know that my 2000 had a button to change from MPH to KPH. As above no temperature indicator.
As far as the recession goes watch the Transportation sector. It is an excellent leading indicator and it is on the rise.

As for the used tires, you could try selling them locally or through your local S2KI forum. People are always looking for inexpensive tires. I cannot help with the temp conversion, I'm too far from my owners manual, but I'm sure it's explained in the dash operation section.
I have those exact same tire sizes on my S as well in the RE-01R's. I'm lowered about one inch on Tein coilovers with no fender alterations using +56 offset

That pretty much describes my relationship with the S. Something along the lines of obsessive compulsive I think
