OMG, really . . . and you get up at 4 am daily. Ken, I can not imagine doing that. I normally don't get up till 8:30 but I have always been a night owl. Quess that's why you are the first poster every day and I am usually the last.

Been doing it for a long time, it's a hard habit to break.

I would have thought that everyone would still have it, Fred. It'll also be posted when registration opens along with all the other info.

Emil, have you checked your roof? Is it safe to leave? Or is there still a few hundred pounds of snow on it?

The group drive on Saturday and the dinner make Spring Fling in Shamokin worth the trip.

Last year I spent Sunday night in Shamokin Damn and went back to BJ's in Sellingsgrove for dinner, as I enjoyed it on Friday night. As I was by myself, I sat at the bar and got into a conversation with the bar tender that started with a comment that I had never had a Gin Martini served the way that they serve it. She explained that the owner is an mixologist historian and serves all of their cocktails in an historically correct fashion. I.E. On Friday when I ordered a Bombay Sapphire Martini (up with olives) it was served in a small (perhaps three ounce) cordial class that resembled a wine goblet and that over pour was in a beaker served in a pint beer glass filled with ice to keep it cool. She explained to me that when the Martini was originally created there was no such thing as a Martini glass and that is how they were served.

I then noticed that they had a bottle of Orgeat Syrup on the bar. Knowing that the original Trader Vic's receipe for Mai Tai's used a splash of Orgeat Syrup I asked if that is why they had it? She confirmed but went on to state that they had to train their servers to tell their customers that they make a traditional Mai Tai and because all of the chain restaurants in the area use Mai Tai mix most of their customers were sending them back. Additionally, she blew me away when she told me that about 50% of their margarita's people order with sugar (Not Salt).? When I asked her, she confirmed that it is almost always females that order them that way.

I am looking forward going back to BJ's for a unique experience.
