The great comedians of the 50's and 60's were incomparable! My all time favorites have to be Jonathan and Rodney.

He was quite an improvisor and very good with voices.
George Carlin was another one of the hilariously funny guys in that generation of comics.

As opposed to the current bunch that have serious difficulty if they attempt humor without swearing.

LOL! Cuz Lord knows George Carlin never did an act with cuss words in it... ever. Or Jackie Gleason. Or Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin.

warning: the following video has audio footage of Dean and Jerry recording an advertising bit for a movie called "The Caddy" and they are CUSSING up a bit of a storm.

Just thinking how much more funny the Jonathan Winters act is now as opposed to way back when. I never really cared for him when I was young. Now I'm wondering why.

And let's not forget the late, great Richard Pryor, or the highly influential comedic genius, Lenny Bruce. Bruce used his comedic talents and "objectionable" language to bring attention to various injustices, social issues, and hypocrisy long before it became the fashionable thing to do, for which he paid a very high price.
