One graph that shows the future in dramatic terms.

If you can't make a positive comment on what this means, please don't make any comment at all. I just found it so dramatic I wanted to share.

I already speak some Korean (go figure ), some Japanese, some Mandarin. I'd like to think I'm somewhat ready for the population make-up to change.

Well we are all on the same rock, so if natural harmonious progression is allowed to take place, eventually in the future there will only be one mixed race on this earth. When you get down to it, we are all the same anyway, despite the differences in our outer ethnic appearance. So does it really matter or mean anything. Our future is the stars. Think of what we may encounter, beyond the earths intelligent life forms. We need to figure out how to get along on earth first, before we are wise enough to navigate the stars. Our own technological leaps are progressing faster then some minds are able to cope in this arena. That presents some conflicts and confusion.

I note that you are suggesting that there are "intelligent life forms" on Earth. Interesting...

This would be more credible if the words below the graph actually aligned with the information the graph portrays.

Well, I guess as usual I'm in the minority. I find the graph interesting and am totally unopposed to a changing demographic. I am fascinated by other cultures despite the fact that I grew up in a rural southern town where anything "foreign" was viewed with suspicion and people of color were radically discriminated against. We are a nation of immigrants and I seriously doubt there is one among us who is purely native American, so we need to accept people, enjoy the fact that they bring new cultural experiences, grow with those experiences and be happy that those from other countries want to be a part of our nation.

I find it interesting as well. I also feel that this trend, if accurate, will likely ensure English remaining the defacto "official" language of the US.
