Default Tech Tip

A garage door installer recommends putting moth balls in the ends of the collapsible rubber bottom seal to keep mice from eating through and entering your garage.

lol moths are so tiny, I seriously doubt a mouse would be scared of moth balls. Maybe cat balls would work better.

Install a rubber threshold seal and metal flashing along the sides of the door to cover any space at the bottom of the door.

FYI, I use ultra-high pitch sound makers, plus traps with peanut butter, plus mice/poison in empty cat food containers, plus mothballs in the door (it's the smell they don't like)!

^^ We have found those ultra-sonic gadgets to be quite effective in keeping cats away from our bird feeders. I used coyote and fox urine granules and they slept in it . We bought two Contech CatStop Ultrasonic Outdoor Cat Deterrents and cats only need to transgress once or twice. They were sleeping on top of Jim's Jeep and stalking the feeders but we haven't seen any of them on our property since we installed them. The reviews are mixed, but we are quite happy with them.
