Default TEMU

Have you heard of it? Have you bought anything from it?

It's apparently a worldwide site like Amazon with EVERYTHING from soup to nuts at REALLY cheap prices. They have a headquarters in Boston but almost every item listed is from China.

I ordered an item for $15 for the car. It is in shipment. There was another item they showed that I was interested in but it was just a picture with no details as to the size. So I went online to ask for more info. There was no way to simply send an email!! So I waited to talk to an agent this AM. I was number 200 in line but it was going down pretty fast, so I waited and waited and waited. After I reached number 30 in line it came to a standstill and 'one hour' had past. Even if I was doing other things while waiting that was my limit.

I just checked again and I would be number 450 in line.

Oh, yes there was a number to call and I tried that for a period of time. Same results.

I do not know anything about it. Just that ads for all kinds of their products keep popping up on my computer. Mostly clothing items if I remember correctly. I am not planning on ordering anything from them.

Yes, yes and never have had a problem. They're not Amazon from the standpoint of "you will get your cheap stuff quickly" but we do get it and it is the same Chinesium junk that Amazon slings but for waaaaaaaaaaay less.

So sad that most of the products we use come from off shore countries. I try to order products made here but they are hard to find. We ordered toilet paper from Amazon during the height of COVID. It was made and shipped from China. It took 2 months to get it and when it showed up it was a joke. The rolls had about 80% less paper than rolls from Charmin. They were $hitty and good for about 2 dumps.

I have ordered a number of small tools and garden items from Temu with positive results. Their search provisions make it easy to find items and shipping is quite fast. For example, I make my own German coffee with a Keurig coffee machine, and was surprised to find the empty pods on Temu that fit.

Got back in queue today since I can not find the product anywhere else. 5 minutes short of one hour I got through.

They are checking for me. Still checking. It's been 10 minutes. In the end they were no help! Said to contact the seller, which I already tried.

It is nice to have other options now that I know of this, but I never heard of it before. It sounds like the customer service you get is pretty much what you pay. I will say that Amazon has always given me fantastic customer service and refunded me money with no questions asked whenever needed. They tend to be fast to react as well.

From the Washington Post 05/03/23: "The United States’ most popular app, the low-price shopping service Temu, recently removed from its website several references to its owner, the Chinese e-commerce giant PDD Holdings."

Good one Jim.
Here's a sample of their sales. $4.48 for 100 of these and free shipping. I've never tried these but the video on Summit Racing shows how neat they work. Look out Lucas.
