FREE MSG: XXXXXX Fraud alert: did you use your card ending in 1234 for blah blah blah
crap!!! credit card has gotten compromised again. time for new cards.
time to change over all of those autopays....

I got one of those texts about a week ago. Turned out that it wasn't for me, really. Apparently someone else with a credit card from the same bank as mine had my phone number on their account by mistake. Typo, perhaps. I called. They tracked it down and said they would fix it.

Next morning I get an automated phone call. Same thing. *sigh* I called again. They said they would fix it. See, the day before I was only asking about text messages, so naturally they couldn't make the leap that the mobile phone number for audio communications which also matched the one for text communications should be corrected too. Argh.

So far, no more calls or texts. And my credit report has no new or unexpected info on it.

Don't worry, Ray. Your Jeep is pre-hackable era. You should be fine... leastwise so far as your Jeep is concerned.
