Default Things come in threes?

Anyone believe in the "things come in threes" superstition? I don't generally give it much thought, but this week it seemed to be true our little world.

Rick cut his arm at work the other day, it was bleeding pretty good so he decided he'd better get it stitched. Before he left, he was talking to his assistant (or his 1/2 assistant long story due to economy), she turned to assist a mechanic with a part and tripped over a parts tote. She told him to go ahead, and when he got back, she went to get checked. She has a broken ankle.

This AM I got an email from my sister. She was in court on a slip and fall case. She was in the lobby of the court room and , she slipped and fell! As she fell, she automatically put out her arm and broke part of the bone in her elbow! OUCH!

That was the third event of the week. I'm keeping that the rest of our friends and family stay safe!

So, do you have times when things seem to "come in threes"?

There have been many times that I wished those "things" would stop at three!

Hope Rick & your sis are both feeling better and recover quickly!

He's fine. Just a nick. I feel bad for my sis. It's hard for a woman to "do her hair" with one arm. Fortunately, the doc told her this type of injury heals quickly.

Lainey, I seem to have bad things come in threes too. One time that comes to mind was my dog Kyras died, then Kennedy Meadows burned, then my mom died unexpectedly. That was all inside of one year. That wasn't the end of the bad streak but the next bad thing happened 10 months later.

We had a year like that, Patty. I guess everyone does from time to time. In 2003 it was particularly bad. Things came in threes, then three more, then three more. There were so many unhappy things happening in that year. I also went to a lot of funerals that year.

Reminds me of a neighbor I had a few years back. She was 40ish (as was I) and we both got new rollerblades. Before I had a chance to do any damage, she fell, breaking BOTH elbows! She was in one of those casts where your arms stick out to the side and are not moveable. She couldn't eat, dress, bathe or do anything at all for herself. Thankfully for her, her parents also lived in the neighborhood.

Nope, I've always had bilateral symmetry. Now had I been born an echinoderm, I would have experienced both bilateral symmetry as a pluteus larva and radial symmetry as an adult. And to top it off, I would now be pentamerous!

You're pushing it tonight, Dean. I don't have THAT much time to spend at dictionary.com.
