Things learned at SF10
First of all thanks once again to the Ken twins for putting on a great get together.
Virginia (especially the Shenandoah Valley) is some really pretty country.
Bring a spare clutch slave cylinder if you can.
Vintage folk are more friendly and inclusive in person then they are online. Thanks all for that.
Some of you held the bar tab way too low. You need to reevaluate your priorities.
Jim's +1 Chris is a movie buff with a bad memory.
Lewis Black's entire act is nothing more than a poor impersonation of Zippy. I was near hysteric watching Ken being Ken (or was it Lewis.)

Glad you enjoyed, Mike/Raymo. What's the chance of you driving to PA next year? I can promise you a pretty crappy ride, again.
I learned that when someone's clutch lets go, a bunch of men go running to help and buy out all the brake fluid at Pep Boys.
I also learned that Apple moonshine isn't bad tasting at all.
I also watched while the young folks learned that Vintage folks do not all drive Camrys, they still have the need for speed, and they know how to drive.

I think I probably knew that one ^^^ already. But I learned lots of things at Spring Fling, and reaffirmed some others (yep, including the one about having a spare clutch slave in the trunk!)

What a great meet! Maybe the 10th was the best so far.
I reaffirmed my knowledge that mini-van and SUV drivers wear out their brakes prematurely because they can't go downhill or into turns at more than 35 MPH, without putting their brakes on, and refusing to pull over, especially with 12 S2000's following them with their lights on.
I also confirmed that we have the best, kindest, funnest, crazy folks in our little group.
Every event seems to get better than the last.
I also learned that I may drive a bit too aggressively.

Oh, and I learned that Grannyrod's SF pool parties are great fun. I can't believe I finally brought a swimsuit!. And that we missed Maury, while playing pool volleyball with the 'Mauryball' !!
^^^^ I learned that after I attended the first one. That is why I have attended all of them. But, I also understand that sometimes life gets in the way of having fun.
I also learned something that made me feel a bit better about SF 05 at Berkerly Springs, WV when Granny Rod had her "shunt" while in my drive group. Granny Rod was my +1 on the drive (as Barbara opted out of the drive) and during the drive the subject came up and the we realized what may have caused her "shunt". It was at the subsequent Fall Colors Tour that someone realized that her car was sitting higher than the others parked next to her and it was discovered that the dealer never removed the spring spacers that were placed in the springs to get them on and off the ships and delivery trucks to the dealer. That rise in the center of gravity and the lack of suspension travel may very well explain why she did not make the curve that the rest of us did comfortably.
