Speaking of Corvette and Lotus the C4 ZR1 engine was designed by Lotus. It was an all aluminum 5.7 liter with dual overhead cams and 4 valves per cylinder. It wasn't built by Lotus, it was built by Mercury Marine's MerCruiser Division. Quite the collaboration.

Looks like a darn nice vehicle. Will be one to follow when introduced, for sure.

They are saying that it will be Lotus's last internal combustion car.
If you really like Emira, you should drive it when it first comes out. If you don't like it, I am sure you can unload it very quickly without any difficulty. It may be selling like hotcakes. Even if you drive it for couple of years and enjoy it, no foul, no harm.

Dave, when you get it you'll have to drive it up here to Plattsburgh so I can see it in person.

I I drove a friends C8. For what you pay for the Lotus you could get a well equipped C8 that’s easier to get in and out of. The Lotus is awesome so it comes down to what you want.

I didn't find any thing easy about getting out of a C8 rag top. At my age I can fall into most any car except maybe NASCAR but getting out can be an issue. I stayed around and actually helped people out of the C8 who wanted to try it on for size. As a tin-top I suspect I would need help getting out of the new Lotus as well.

Money well saved unless you want a knee-high car.
