It's on! Car is cleaned up. Awesome condo here. Don't need it but it's nice. Dinner in an hour or so.
So did Jim (S1997) get squared away or is he riding shotgun with you?

He got new spark plugs and flogged it on the Dragon again. It's (his S) all better. We spent about 2 hours at the dealership and then hit the road, getting to Blowing Rock, North Carolina after 7 PM, I think it was. Drove through nasty fog and couldn't see much. Hit more today on the way to Wintergreen. We went to Valentines's house for a delicious lunch and then he left to go get Chris (his wife) at the airport and I came to Wintergreen following Valentine.

You know, we both totally forgot about calling you. I thought about it today. Sorry. I am going home a more northern route, so I can hit my sister's just outside of Colorado Springs for 2 nights, and then see Bryce Canyon on the way home. I'll have to try again another time to meet you. I don't know what Jim is up to on his way home.

No, but good guess.

There's a sign at the park that relates the story of the first known person to see Bryce Canyon. Those were (supposedly) his first words upon seeing the sight.

Hey, Carmen. Wish you were here!

I have lots of photos but since my laptop is brand spanking new, I've yet to connect my camera to it to see how uploading photos works. Maybe this afternoon, after the drive, I'll give it a try. I've got some of Ruth Josey too, after spending the night at her house on Monday night.

Twice, I've driven home from Colorado and wanted to go explore Bryce Canyon but had to get home. So this time, I have two nights in Cedar City, Utah, Thursday and Friday, so I can play there all day Friday, and drive home on Saturday. Finally!
