Default Tires on MY06

to the original tires on my '06. I now have reached the 10k mark with very, very little wear to the entire set. When I owned the '01, I would have had to order replacements by now. I'm totally amazed at the difference and probably will get another 10k out of the rears and more on the front. I'm very, very pleased.

Val. Big change from your first S.

We got almost 17K on our original rears. We replaced all four around 32K

You've put 10K on your baby in just over a year? You go girl!

I am unaware of any change in my driving style and really can't explain the difference unless Honda put a different tire on the car. I guess I should investigate. In my wildest dreams I couldn't imagine getting 32k miles out of ANY tires on an S. The 10k miles are because I drove the car up to Connecticut, Gettysburg PA and Ohio last year and made two trips to SC in it before Spring Fling. It sat in the garage for about 6 weeks with 0 miles until my mountaineer got crushed by a tree branch a few weeks ago. It has now become my daily driver and since I'm making 3 trips a week to the chiropractor 22 miles away its getting a few more miles on it now. +1 and I took it out for a couple short little fun drives over the weekend and it was nice. My back is bad and driving it now is just not as fun as when I had no back pain.

Edit: The mountaineer is in the body shop for repairs and several parts are still on order. It'll be another week or two before Valentine2 comes home. I really miss it. I loved driving it to the grocery store and parking beside all the other mommies and grannies in suvs.

They are different tires, but I can't tell you any more than that. Hope the back heals quickly. It's no fun to not feel good when driving your baby. Driving the S is supposed to make you feel good.

We had a little drive yesterday with a couple New England guys. One has a bad back requiring some surgery soon, and he's hardly driven his S at all.

Driving the S is okay once I can get myself into the seat and comfortable. I dread getting out though. I thought it was just the S that bothered me, but I've discovered it is getting into and out of ANY car that we own, so its the problem of twisting my back to get into an automobile that causes the worst pain.

I understand you back problems perfectly. Mine usually "goes out" about once a year, most recently about 2 weeks ago. It is finally getting back to where I can get out of chairs and bend over without much pain. When it's in bad shape it dosn't matter what vehicle I'm in, getting out can be a real pain. Thankfully over the past couple days my back has been recoving by leaps and bounds and I'm finally getting back to normal. Wishing you a speedy recovery Val. I did notice during this recent bout that driving the S was easier than driving my other vehicles, maybe the seat offers more support...it was just the exits that were the worst.

I got a little over 25k miles on my original tires and probably could've safely gone another thousand or two. I not sure how I did it, maybe it's because I'm such a slow and cautious driver.
