today's topic of curiousity
I was out watching a bird hopping from branch to branch and a thought struck me.
Birds must have truly remarkable depth perception to be able to time their landing from flight without injuring themselves.
But most birds eyes are locating laterally on the heads looking sideways unlike forward looking binocular vision which provides for better depth perception.
really makes me wonder how they do it?

"The reasons for our sensory similarity to birds can be found in human evolutionary history. At one point the ancestors of Homo sapiens were small, tree-dwelling primates. "
Hey, what happened to Adam and Eve?

I'm fairly certain they were after the pomegranates of knowledge - red ones and blue ones. If they ate the red ones, they went on through the gates of Mordor. If they ate the blue pomegranates, they got to go to Yasgur's farm.
That reminds me, I have to watch the rest of Return of the King extended version. It is four hours and 13 minutes long. I couldn't finish it off last night. I'm pretty sure there are birds flying into Mordor near the end of it.
