Default Trick or Treat

Have the kids been to your house yet? What is the popular costume this year?

They started about 3:30 this afternoon, and it now (5:30) seems to be tapering off, since it's dark.

Lots of the typical ghosts/devils/witches, a sprinkling of angels, dancers and animal/cartoon characters, and a number of home made costumes.

As usual we overbought on candy, so Hilly and I have goodies to bring to work.

Most of the kids around here were out last night, and no one has been here tonight. One of the most popular costumes for the boys seemed to be Spiderman. I didn't see many girls out trick or treating.

We've had a pretty good mix of kids, both boys and girls and age-wise. Lots of parents out with their kids too.

I don't get any trick or treaters where I live my neighborhood is about 90% vacation homes so it's not worth it for the kids however I always buy candy just in case. I have friends with kids and I tell them to stop by with their kids at the tail-end of their trick or treating and then I give them the candy. Of course I manage to eat a few pieces of the candy myself

I am a bit surprised. None of the kids came to the door dressed as Osama Bin Ladin or George W. Bush, and those are two scary characters.

The first guy looks a littttttle old, but he was cute, so he got treats:
These little guys were cute:

The third one's a charm -- since +1 was passing out goodies -- she got a bigggg bag of chocolates:

Every year is hit and miss with us, some years we get none. This year we had only 14 show up.
Our greates gift is always grandchildren....seven of them and they looked great.

Had over 100 come to the house. This was between 5 and 8 PM. No single theme on costumes. Still love the very little ones who are too shy to say Trick or Treat.
