I have been thinking about joining twitter just to keep up with hockey news. I've been reading some of the pros and cons. I see that you don't have to use your real name to join. I don't plan to get into personal discussions with others, like I have on Facebook about car related topics. I am only interested in news about the team and the players. Any risks I may be missing? Any advice is welcomed.

 

Never done it, never will.

Of course I said that about texting a few years ago.... Now near a daily thing.

 

I'm not on it. Facebook and S2ki take up enough of my time.

Me too, I guess. I decided to try it and it would not accept my email address - said it was already in use. WTF

I found several things of interest last season by going to the Red Wings site and then clicking on their twitter link. Guess I'll just keep doing it that way without joining.

 

No twitter here. I dont like someone who twitters constantly, guess who. I am only on Facebook as I have a business page on it.

Twitter is amusing. there is some seriously funny stuff on there.

 

I'm not on Twitter, but would think that you'd set up preferences, follow those you want to, don't follow those you don't and get relevant info that way?

Of course, I could be totally wrong. Same as FB, I don't see any of your posts, I see posts only from friends (I have a small number, don't bug me), and groups I follow.
