U.S. Navy Task Force
I just saw that the Navy had a special task force of 3 carriers ABRAHAM LINCOLN, KITTY HAWK AND GEORGE WASHINGTON, 4 subs and some support ships, a stealth fighter, and 20 other fighters which were gathered to watch the launch of the newest long range stealth bomber, fighter, interceptor piloted by a female, Navy Lieutenant Kara Wade. Mach 4 speed and a 4000 mile range. Also, the Navy just launched the USS New York which is a Twin Tower troop carrier designed for special operations against terrorists. She can carry 360 sailors and 700 Marines to be delivered ashore by helicopters and assault craft. 24 tons of scrap steel from the World Trade Center were used in the molds to form the bow. The steel workers treated this steel with utmost reverence and the chief steward said it made the hair on the back of his neck stand up when he touched it. He said "they knocked us down, they can't keep us down, We're going to be back". The ships motto placed on both sides of the bow is 'NEVER FORGET'. I tried to download pictures but they didn't go through.
Ray, was this picture in an e-mail you received? If so, it was probably not as pictured. I seem to remember seeing this and I immediately questioned the legitimacy of it. I did a Google search and could find nothing to substantiate it. That's why I view all forwarded e-mails with suspicion.
Also, according to Wikipedia, the USS New York was not "just launched." In fact, it was launched in 2009. See this article: http://en.wikipedia....rk_%28LPD-21%29
One more note: The long range stealth bomber you mentioned was a movie prop. It does not exist. http://www.truthorfi...tm#.VPTua_nF-So
Some more information about the plane: http://www.snopes.com/photos/airplane/a37.asp
Sorry to be such a Debbie Downer, but I have long learned to question every e-mail like this that I receive.
