Well, Deb, I'm headed for Durango on Monday. I could get the house ready for you guys ... It's not that far from Vegas, and it's not hot there even in the summer.
Let me know if you need an advance cleaning team to go in for ya, Jim! Or a house sitter to keep thing going.

Looks like a wonderful hideaway.

Jim,

Is that your log home? Did you have it built? I looked into having one built in southern Ohio way back when. Log homes are very cool...

I had it built by a local contractor, Carmen, but I built the deck around the house, and did a lot of the finish work inside, including the hardwood floors, etc. It was a two year project. The basement is still not finished other than the garage and utility room. There is a large fireplace with an air blower in the great room, but the heating is by forced air -- natural gas from the area. The walls are thick, with six inches of blown insulation inside the log sections. It's our dream home -- on forty acres (the usual for the Four Corners area). I have to go up periodically to make sure there are no windows open, or that we didn't leave the lights on.

Ok, let's talk, G-Rod. BTW where have you been? I see you are bringing Marva to SF.

Me too! I'm flying to Colorado Springs on Monday and flying home on Thursday. Going to go see my sister, my brother-in-law (financial planner) and meet my new niece (15 years-old) and nephew (13 years-old) recently arrived, from the Ukraine. Oh, and I LOVE your "little" cabin in the woods. Maybe Jerry and I can drive there in the fall and we can have an S party, and drive to Ouray.

Sorry, Deb... Back to the Unoffical Official Wedding...

Well, since it appears the Unofficial Official thread will remain that way for awhile, OT is OK. The March trip to Savannah just got extended by a day, once I found out the St Patrick's Day parade is on Fri, Mar 14. So we are flying down the 13th and leaving the 18th. It's the second biggest St Patrick's Day parade in the U.S.! About 400,000 peeps expected. Who knew??

I just think "The Honeymoon Meet" has a nice ring to it, that's all. Kinda rhymes with Jim's place as the oversized honeymoon suite.

I'm surprised that St. Patty's day would be so big in Savannah of all places. Who knew, is right.

Are the feds going to let us out early you think?
