Default Vacation Plans - 2027

Well my first late wife's family convinced me into booking a river cruise next year. We will be going from Paris to Normandy and back to Paris. We will be sailing on AmaWaterways and I was able to get a single room which saved some money.

Now I just have to live that long!

Getting way ahead of yourself David, we are just starting on 2026 vacations and you hopscotched to 2027 already. lol.

That sounds like a really nice trip, seeing the countryside outside of Paris would be my choice if visiting there, good choice.

We cancelled on a Cuba vacation this year as the country is in taters. It would have been nice to go there next year but I think Cuba will be in really bad shape, I don't see things improving there.

We may end up on some other warm island like Antigua or Aruba in 2027.

The boats probably have been upgraded some since I went down the river in 1961.

Good plan! We did that trip on Avalon a few years ago. River cruising is the way to go!

Just booked our next ACL river cruise for June 2027 - the Snake and Columbia rivers. It is the ACL’s most popular cruise.

Follow the path of Lewis and Clark and embark on a journey through history on the Columbia & Snake Rivers Cruise. Admire the ever-shifting landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, from lush, forested mountains to cascading waterfalls and rocky shores, each turn of this river cruise itinerary offers a breathtaking view unlike any other in America.

Watch as your ship passes through the intricate lock and dam system, discover the captivating stories behind iconic landmarks like Mount St. Helens, renowned for its explosive 1980 eruption, and enjoy a tour and tasting at Maryhill Winery, one of Washington State's largest wineries. With at least one excursion in each port included free of charge, you can experience Multnomah Falls, the Columbia River Maritime Museum, and a guided tour of Richland all as a part of your fare.

This region, with its waterways lined by tall trees, towering mountains that blend into the uninterrupted sky, and eagles soaring above you is a truly remarkable sight.
