Default VHS Conversion

I think this was discussed here a while back but I couldn't find the thread.

Has anyone here had any experience getting their old VHS tapes copied to other media like DVD or thumb drive?

I used this company to transfer slides to digital. Looks like they can do what you want.

I know Samsung used to make a DVD / VHS combo player that would "rip" the VHS tape and burn it to a DVD. Finding one of those on eBay, etc. may be less expensive than going through a third party.
