Video that I think is cool
This is the most critical video review of both generations of the AP-1 and AP-2 that I have ever seen. With that stated: It also explains in critical terms the pluses and minuses of both generations .
When you have about thirty-seven minutes to watch this YouTube video I would be interested in learning your comments?
I for one still LOVE my AP-1. It still puts a smile on my face whenever I drive it. I have tracked it over the years that I have owned it. And I have not experienced any of the issues that he spoke of in his video. However, when I have tracked the car, I have always realized that I was doing it for the pure enjoyment of the driving experience at speed in a safe environment and that I was NOT in a race.
Even when I was road racing motorcycles back in the 70's I never abused my equipment. The plastic trophy was not as valuable as the cost of repairs to me. My best performance at Summit Point Motorsports Park in WV was in an eight lap sprint race with WERRA. Summit Point Main is a two mile ten turn circuit. I started 32nd and finished eight.
My biggest disappointment was in 2001 at the Skip Barber School at Lime Rock, CT when I finished second by 1/10th of a second out of eighteen drivers in my class.

I think that most of you will appreciate this video, especially us Veterans. When you have eighteen minutes, I think that it worth the watch.
P.S. You may want to have a box of tissues near by.
