Default "Vintage" Concerts - It's Gonna Be A Great Year

I have tickets to see Robin Trower Thursday night in Greenville, SC. I have been a Trower fan since the late 1980's and I missed him last year when he came through the south. People I know who have seen him elsewhere in the country on this tour recommended the show so highly I made an effort to get tickets for my 16 year old son and I. I took him to see Peter Frampton last year and he really enjoyed himself.

The following night I have *primo* floor seats for Van Halen in Raleigh . . . my son will be with me for that one as well.

As we speak, I am standing by to scoop some James Taylor tickets when they go on sale this morning.

It's going to be a great year for yours truly the music nut.

Saw Bon Jovi again Thurs night. Not sure what is on the agenda for the rest of the year. If we go to Vegas, I want to see Bette Midler and Cher. Not sure you can call those concerts, though. More like crazy extravaganzas!

I also want to see the Eagles new tour. I'm waiting for either an appearance in North Carolina (or at least somewhere closer than Atlanta), or at Red Rocks in Colorado, a venue where I have always wanted to see a concert. I would build a mini-vacation around that one if it were to pop up.

I went to the Clapton Crossroads festival in July last year here in Bridgeview IL. That was and will be probably the greatest concert I'll ever witness. I also have tickets reserved for when Led Zeppelin plays 5 shows in Chicago in a year

I have the Dvd of that Crossroads concert. I need to watch it now, as I heard it was wonderful.

If it's what I saw on tv, there's a young woman bassist who's is just fantastic. The bass looks almost as big as she was.

Make sure to post up later in the week to let us know how Trower was. I'm thinking I'd like to seem him here in Cincy on April 1.

She had played with Jeff Beck - from what I heard at the concert she's 23 and lives down the street from him and he asked her if she wanted to play specifically for this concert.
