Facebook has killed off most of the regional forums unfortunately.

Welcome Scott, vintage is a good place to hang out and pass the time.

Working on getting our new little car back up to snuff, mechanicals all seem good, just a bunch of little stuff I'm working on, if anyone cares.
Two of the main things that bothered me on the car was that cute little spare in the back was gone and my dash radio controls did not function! Nothing big, but they weren't right and I dont like that so... bought a spare from a guy on here in the classifieds, looked brand new and I dont believe it had ever been mounted, had the hold down and everything. Next the radio, was a little leery about doing that on my own, it has been a long time since I've done this kind of stuff. But it went splendidly, got a new radio from Crutchfield and and the dash interface with the plug and play harness from Modifry and got it all put in, radio all works well and all the dash controls function as they should, even replaced the cup separator while I was at it so that also works again. Also from Modifry I got the cup holder and phone holder to make the car a little bit more user friendly, WHY did they short the car on cup holders?? Hmmm. The little "glovebox" in the back of the console had a lock that wouldn't lock so I got one of those locks as well which comes with its own key so now I have to have two of those giant keys in my pocket! Also ordered and installed those little pull clips that hold in the cover for the spare tire compartment, they were missing as well.
I think that's about all for now, still am going to replace the speakers as the new radio proved the one's in there now are no good. But now I have a nice little convertible to cruise around on the weekends and such which is it purpose after all.
