Default Wedding Anniversary

My wife and I have just celebrated our 37th anniversary. As part of our celebration we go out for dinner as we always have for the past 37 years. In stead of a fancy place we go to IHOP.
We had an afternoon wedding and "after the after" our first dinner as man and wife was at IHOP. So we go there every anniversary.

What do you do?

Our wedding anniversary is my birthday. I think someone was looking to get away with not having to take me out for two special occasions.

We generally go out to dinner, sometimes we try to plan a weekend away if time and $ permit.

We buy cards for each other, and that's about it. As far as presents, we don't bother, we'd rather spend the money taking off for a day or a weekend in the S.

I love the IHOP story. You have to be the only folks I ever heard of who go there for an anniversary celebration. Happy Anniversary!

That's an interesting idea. Maybe I should start taking the wife to Florida for Green Turtle Steak, Conch Fritters and a Shrimp Cocktail. It's been years since we've done that. Usually we are just happy to find the Conch Fritters.

Nice dinner, with 2 babies a simple nice dinner is a treat... I figured something big should occur every 10 years - like a trip abroad.

#44 here. The last few we have taken a cruise.
Next year, we are going to Hawaii.

After that, who knows?

My wife and I were married 36+ years ago. I had the reception at my apartment, serving KFC to the guest. At that time I was living in Connecticut. Now I live in Kentucky, still eating KFC!

Liz and I got married 24 years ago on a Friday afternoon at New York City's city hall (we both worked until noon). We had no guests, we even had to tip someone $5.00 to be our witness. That evening we took Liz's mother to dinner in Chinatown.

Since then we've celebrated every year by going out for a Chinese dinner.
