P90X.

Its extreme and some may have to do it in moderation but it way better than a diet and a treadmill. It can be punishing but the results are astounding if you get through the first month or two.

Seriously, its no joke. And the man in the tapes was 45 when he made them. And yes women can do it with the stretchy bands if they hate weights. My wife did.

Tonight was probably bad. We hosted a reception at my office and I ate 12 pieces of various appetizers. I tried to pick smart; shrimp and steak. after that, i had some vegetables, but it was probably too much. Hard to tell. At least i went on the treadmill when I got home.

after squeezing into my suit this morning which I obviously haven't worn in a while..... a more constructive plan of action may need to be developed.

Oh oh....

Went to dinner after voting last night. Had a nice salad with chicken with dressing on the side. Apple for a snack. Buttered popcorn would have tasted soooooooo much better.

I'm off today. A walk is on my "to do" list. Temps will be in the 30's. Just waiting for mid-AM/early afternoon so I get the warmer part of the day.

Great job Bill, 12 lbs. in 3 weeks - keep going. My first week is over and I'm down 2.2 lbs. Headin for vacation but will not gain weight. I'll eat more but will increase exercise as well.

This morning's tale of the scale was not good. Probably too much fat in the dips that accompanied the appetizers. Tonight I have a card game to go to, so no exercise. I'll have to eat very smart.

Good luck Patty! As soon as we get back from our loves-to-cook host here in Tampa, we are getting back on the calorie counter wagon

We'll only have a month to get ready for our trip to..... Patty Land
OK, we're back in town and pumped for "the program".... can't be too chubby for Orange County visit....departing Feb 24

My strategy is not complex:

*maintain daily exercise....walk, swim, whatever
*reduce portions
*lots of veggies and fruit
*reduce carbs
*limit high fructose and other refined sugars (the hardest challenge for me )

Starting: X90 (pants are tight )
Goal in a month: X80 (pants are just right )

X= ?????
