I am a four-month owner of an S. Ok, I get the drift that "vintage" means you all are those of more responsible age

So are there offiicial qualiffications?

Oops, just found the sticky above.

We also have many pre-vints here. I was one until I became "official"...stick around, you'll probably like it here but watch out for Grannyrod - she's trouble!

Still, it's a great question in the philosophical sense.

What makes one vintage is a spirit of comraderie; a tolerance for the views of others; an appreciation for the S2000 in terms of the sports cars of the past; the occasional use of spell-check, and; a few minor aches and pains that don't slow us down.

Feel free to add to the list.

I agree and I'll add the wealth of experience that enables you to see things from another point of view, and enables you to understand things and allow for them even though you may not like or agree with them.

It is the ability to use language to communicate, not to shock or insult.

It is the ability to accept the fact that someone else might be faster and we might not win every race. Someone else might be newer, and we might not have every feature. Someone else might be shinier, and we might need an extra coat of wax every now and again, but in the end, we are what we are, and thats pretty terrific too.

Vintage is a state of mind made better by age.

What makes *me* vintage is that I cannot get out of my car, instead, I "unfold". And slowly :-)

Jerry,

I said someone, not some other color. Sebring is still the fastest. Do I have to show you the license plate again?

Dave
I have no problem getting in and out of mine and as long as I can do it, I will.
