Seems a bit generous to me.

And I'm still rated neutral? I'm going to have to work harder for neg reps!

Hang on, folks. Warn protocols are still being formulated and clarified. Should be soon.

Hi Jim- Just gave you a +1 on this post to make up for the -1 that I bestowed on your earlier post in which you pretended to NOT be a member of the esteemed "admin"

Whatever, Jerry. Officially there are Admins, Moderators and Community Organizers. I -- am not an admin -- I'm a moderator, so no pretense intended. I meant for him to check with an admin -- if he had specific questions about details that I have no access to.

How are you and your family?

I guess I haven't posted and noticed it before.
one would think that if there is nothing to say it wouldn't show up.
it really doesn't make one feel very comfortable or welcome.
of course maybe I'll just keep that guest status a little longer.

As I understand it right now, WARN has been visible but hardly used, When it is clarified the information will be posted by the admins. I assume that there would be few warnings in Vintage, since this community Is much more mature than some of the other forums. I also assume that we members would like to have some apparatus to protect against trolling. So why wouldn't we view this as positive until proven otherwise?

BTW I don't know of any warning issued for a post in Vintage.

Jim,
As my boss would say, I get it.
I understand the troll aspect of it. I've seen forums go to hell and become useless becuase of it.
but in effect it says "look we're really the ones with control here. we don't trust you to be adults, so we're going to put this meter here to tell you if you're being good."
it's a passive dominance sort of thing. maybe it's just me but I find it irritating.

why annoy the normal 99.995% of users with irrelevant stuff?
if you don't have any warnings, shut it off and don't display it.
if (user.warning <>0 ) then display( warning_status);

And.... if someone does act up... tell that person.

Don't make us all wonder what the heck is going on...

If I see my Warn status, going up.... think it will change how I behave? NO!
