Default What would make the S2000 better

Many here have lived with the S2K for a number of years. After the honeymoon, what things would you like to see changes with your version, or even the versions that have come after (that you have read about or seen in person)?

Here is a list of my things...
- While the car is on accessory, the clock should be ON.
- While the car is on accessory, the windows should open and close.
- There should be a switch to soften up the suspension. The roads up north swell and heave and when it is cold the suspension is even stiffer. The ride is almost unbearable on some roads when I went out driving last week.
- There should be some sort of impact softening material in the wheel wells. The sound of road gravel inside the wheel wells is very loud and annoying. I have never heard gravel that loud, not even close, in any other vehicle.
- The car should come in bright red exterior and all red leather interior.

I wasn't really looking for something too exotic, like all wheel drive or a V8!!!!

A full set of gauges. A sportscar/roadster is supposed to have a full set of gauges. They can be digital, as a matter of fact they should be, but there should be an oil pressure gauge, a voltmeter/ammeter, a transmission temperature gauge to go along with the water temperature and fuel gauges.

We have a world class sportscar with a dashboard with only the gauges found in an economy car.

Everything else is fine as is.

Apparently they've taken care of one of my wish-list items in the 06 models -- an outside temperature sensor & read-out.

And I'm with Rob on the full engine gauge set.

I'd also like OEM & standard fog lights in those fake intake ducts in the front end, plus HID high-beams (I suppose HID fogs are just too much to ask for). HPH

Yes, I'd like that too.

A convertible hardtop.

Only problem with that is that it would add too much weight.

I agree with the full set of gauges.

How about a cup holder that really holds cups!

Radio controls on the steering wheel. I can reach them on the left, but why not on the wheel?

A more easily accessible gas tank door release. (what were they thinking putting it there? )

A more flexible boot. (would love a retractable hard-top, but understand about the weight). It's a PIA to take it on a trip with suitcases in the trunk.

Heated seats. Leather is cold in the winter!

The only thing I find a major nuisance is that (when the key's in the ignition) you have to lean across the interior to unlock the passenger door,

i.e. no door unlock on the driver's side for the passenger door.

I would like to have a second 12V outlet someplace on the underside or lower portion of the dash. The one between the seats is fine for a cell phone or such, but if you are powering a GPS or other item, it's a PITA.

Then where would I get the air for my brake ducting?

Besides, there's no need. Fog lights in addition to the HIDs is just silly.
