Default Whatever happened to.......

Over time we've seen a few people come into Vintage, become active and disappear. I thought that this might be a good place for those of us who are curious about some of these names to post them. It is also a good place for anyone who might know where these people are now to respond. Anyway, I'll start with a few names.

Whatever happened to:

Sleepwalker
Jrfblueeyes
The Professor
Dallas
Lajster

Rob, you forgot about the REAL mystery: Crabby Guy!

*I think that Dallas is still around...just busy with 'life'
*Maybe YOU remember the last interchange with The Professor (I don't), but he probably got po'd and went off in a huff. Now, maybe he'll be back....in view of the Bush #2 Honeymoon?
*Lajster (Lester) is some sort of MD...right? Maybe he's just overly busy

I'll check my PM record to see if there is any record of contact.

Jerry

You are absolutely right. I completely forgot about Crabby Guy. There are many others too that I hope other members will mention. I envisioned this thread as sort of a clearing house for missing Vints.

I think you are right about Dallas and I hope he reappears soon.
I haven't heard from Lajster (yes he's from MD) in a long time so I don't know what's up with him.
The Professor was, I thought, satisfied with the outcome whatever conflicts there had been and was going to keep posting. I think he just disappeared. I wish he'd come back, he wasn't a bad fellow.

If anyone knows of any other missing Vint, or has any info on any missing Vint, post it here.

Jerry

No, I never met him except in Vintage and a couple of PMs. He made some very nice comments about a few of the things that I had written, especially my "Motoring" thread. I was hoping to meet him at the Carlisle meet, but he didn't attend.

Have you been in touch with him recently? Is he going to come back to Vintage?

That was a real tough thread. You have no idea how many PMs went back and forth between Deb, myself and a few members for that week. Still, I miss the Prof too. I wonder where he is?

I never think of things from the point of view of the Mods Rob. I magine it was tough. But you have to admit, that thread had it all. Most here know I am a moderate republican, and I could not get behind the prof on his ideas. But I admired his willingness to put it out there and I respected his point of view, even if I didn't agree with it.
