This is when it always sinks in
When it comes to Christmas and buying gifts I am one of the worlds biggest procrastinators. I have not bought a single present . . not one . . not yet. Probably should since the calendar says it is only 5 days away.
The 24th is the best time to shop, you don't second guess yourself and it is generally quiet that day. I do my best shopping on the 24th, just go down the isle and grab what you see. It is really easy that way. You have plenty of time my friend, it is still a bit early in my books.
I solve that problem by doing the same thing every year. Ordering online some kind of food-related goodies for everyone. I have never been a big shopper at Christmas. Probably because I do not have kids. And I don't care if I get anything or not.

I'm with you Deb. I'd always want to give the grandkids something, but need nothing in return. Grandkids are older so they want $ and gift cards and that's easy. In my opinion when people swap gift certificates for Christmas, there isn't much of a point. I'd rather my son and daughter in law donate any $ they plan on spending on us to those in need. I suggested it once and no one took the bait.

I tend to give something when I find out it is needed. What I am doing instead of waiting to kick the bucket is giving certain relatives monetary gifts I know they can use sooner rather than later. Just did this for one relative and it was a very nice surprise. And I am happy that I am able to do it.
