... in a restaurant?

Care to share some of your favorite eateries? From fine dining to cheap eats? Please list the location. The rarer (less commercial) the better!

5 times a week.

Eden Center (Falls Church VA near 7-Corners) - Cheap Vietnamese food eateries and very authentic.

La Lavendou (Wash, DC. Connecticut Ave)- Great French Provencial, mussels are a must.

Duck Chang's (Annandale VA. Little River Turnpike)- Best Crispy Duck pancakes!

Fortune (Culmore, Arlington Rt. 7) Great lunch buffet w/ Dim Sum and seafood. Lousy service but it's a buffet so you can serve yourself. Just don't get too thirsty.

Sambo's Tavern, Leipsic, DE.

Only open from April through October.

The world's best crab-cakes, and outstanding steamed crabs.

Located in quaint fishing village on the banks of the Leipsic River, about 3 miles from the Delaware Bay.

Trust me. If you love seafood and a great atmosphere, you'll love Sambo's. (Named after the deceased founder whose nickname was Sambo)

My husband and I used to hit the local Mexican restaurant twice a week. La Cabana. We especially like to eat outside on the back patio when it's warm, but since January 6th we've been dieting so we haven't gone out since. Mexican food is fattening, as are margaritas.

Oh boy - the DC area has some fine restaurants. I've got several faves.

Two near me in Arlington:
Village Bistro - Mediterranean - wonderful seafood including about 10 diff kinds of fish - tilapia, tuna, mahi mahi, trout, etc.
Rhodeside Grill - American - love the shrimp and grits (Cajun style)

In DC:
Jaleo - Spanish tapas
Andale - Mexican/Southwest
Il Tiramisu - Italian
Johnny's Half Shell - American - seafood
Bistro Francais - French (of course)

I like to eat my own cooking most of the time, so when I do eat out, I tend to order things I don't cook.

Here in Vermont I don't eat out too often but when I go home to R.I. I go out to eat quite a bit there are a lot of great restaraunts there. One of my favorites is an Italian restaraunt in my hometown called Marchetti's. They serve their entrees in serving platters!

About 5 times a week, including fast food Sandwiches from Subway and the like. For sit-down dining, my fiancee and I prefer casual dining environments such as Boston Pizza and the Cheesecake Cafe here in Calgary, Alberta Canada. BPs has a stellar Chicken Ciabatta Sandwich, and the Cheesecake has a smothered steak sandwich to die for, not to mention the calorie-laden cheesecake that they are renowned for.

Sal Anthony's-New York City
Luna's-Parsippany, New Jersey
Old Homestead-New York City
Jonathan's Kosher Deli-Parsippany, New Jersey
Ruth's Chris Steakhouse-Parsippany, New Jersey

We don't much care for fast food or chain food but we do like:

Macaroni Grill-East Hanover, New Jersey
Chili's-Succasunna, New Jersey
Chevy's Fresh TexMex-Parsippany, New Jersey
Frank's Pizza-Randolph, New Jersey
Alexis Diner (when we feel like a burger)-Denville, New Jersey
Nathan's Famous (The original)-Coney Island, New York

And for dessert nothing comes close to:

Maggie Moo's-Denville, New Jersey
Junior's (for cheesecake)-Brooklyn, New York
