Default Xmas ads

So, it's been noted elsewhere that the big holiday sales push starter even earlier this year, and, of course, that includes TV spots for various things Christmas. While many of these are easy for me to ignore, and while some are various stages of annoying, there are also those that I get a kick out of.

For example (and this one is an oldie), the Heineken "Holiday 5-Pack" ad cracks me up every time I see it. [Guy wraps up a 6-pack for someone; has second thoughts; rips a hole and takes out a bottle; covers the hole with a stick-on bow; looks pleased with himself.]

What are your favorites? HPH

I don't know why I like this one, but there's just something peaceful and nice about L. L. Bean's new Christmas commercial. I seldom watch commercials and somehow tune them out to the point I don't even know what they say. This one, however, caught my attention:

I like that one too, Dr. C.

Haven't paid much attention, but if I see one that catches my eye, I will report back here!

I'm a big LLBean fan. I was wearing their pima tank top and one of their skorts last night. I wear that outfit a lot. I have their VISA. I would like to be able to try on their stuff without having to wait a week for it to get here.

Corona commercial...Small beach cottage at dusk. "Oh, Tannenbaum" being whistled in the background. Lone palm tree lights up. Nice.

Doc, maybe its beer commercials...but that Hinie commercial still makes me smile every time as well.

^ For me, I think it's because he looks so pleased with himself -- as if he already drank the previous six-pack. HPH

The look of satisfaction after he applies the ribbon gets me. Like he just successfully fixed a NASA rocket with duct tape.
