Default Yet more ads...

Maybe this has been going on for some time and I just noticed -- in which case it argues for what a lousy strategy it is -- or maybe it just started. But I've just noticed that ads are appearing within threads placed between invidual posts.

I'm all in favor of cthree and company making as much money off this little venture as they can, but now that I see them, this is going to be truly annoying. How much is too much, anyway? Automated signatures for each of us with ads in them? Or what? HPH

Haha. Ads in general are a fact of life. They are here to stay.

Remember when cable TV first came out? No commercials right? How'bout movie theaters? I thought we pay to escape commercials. Anyway, Andy Rooney had the same rant a while back.

Didn't you used to be a member? I thought those ads were there to annoy guests into purchasing a membership.

Dr. C.

I don't know if you were listed as a member previously, but now you show as a guest. If you were a member your membership expires and you become a guest with no notice.

That could be why you are now seeing more ads.

I'm not sure DrC but it may be because you're showing as a guest. I thought you were a member. I know on some other sites they run adds that are only visible if your a guest not a member.

Aha! You're all right -- I expired.

OK, I take it all back. Let's annoy the hell out of the guests. HPH
