Yes, the S2000 went to 9,000 RPM, the 2004 S2200 only went to 8400 RPM.

 

Yes it does, had an AP1 with 2 engines and an AP2.

 

I agree, they should have followed their own history and badged the second generation the S2200.

 

Dave I tend to agree...but I have heard the argument that the "2000" refers to the millennium and the first model year rather than the engine displacement. But given the S360, S500, S600 and S800 were all named to identify their engines I find this argument to be pretty weak.

 

So then it should have been named the Honda S1997.
