Default AP1 better than AP2?

This is probably a repost, but I thought I'd throw it out there.....I "happened" upon it when someone asked me a question about our Honda.

It's a total lie. Honda says the second-generation S2000 is a kinder, gentler car. Bullshit. Don't believe it. The S2000 is still the real deal, a sports car stripped to a core of dynamic purity. That said, Honda has made a long list of changes to the S2000 for 2004, including an increase of engine displacement, meant to make the car friendlier on the street. And the changes do make the two-seater a bit easier to live with, but to say the roadster has cast aside its hyperactive ways is like saying Barry Bonds no longer hits for power.

Of course, I'm not sure I like that Barry Bonds reference.

Everyone knows the AP2 is a more friendlier AP1. However, they are both phenomenal cars no doubt!

I don't think that's what they are saying, Bill.

Since this article was written by Ricky Ricardo, you should have realized it was meant as a joke. A serious article wouldn't have made ridiculous claims that the AP2 is better.

Well, having never driven an AP2, I figure someone should let me drive theirs and I'll let you know what I think. Maybe a drive to Florida and back will suffice.

Giles or Scott should chime in on this. I remember them stating that stock AP2's are better optimized for power than AP1's which explains why they put down more HP's / torque.

However that differential can be made up using an emanage

They are all great cars. Sure I'd love to have another 1000k to hit redline (especially on track) but on the upside, my car has NEVER used a single drop of oil in between changes. Something that can not be said for most of the AP1s I believe. I love every S2000 that has ever been built
