If you're looking for places to go, let me know. My family lives there and I'm very familiar with the area.
One place that I always visit in the summer is Abbott's Lobster Pound in Noank - great lobster in the rough along with some other great seafood.

Tick, tick, tick... Hint: Julia Roberts and anchovies...
I like anchovies, but Julia Roberts and Mystic Pizza (the restaurant as well as the movie) are all lousy. MP's pizza is about as good as JR's acting skills.

Since you always visit in the summer, you will, of course, be there for this great meet. We would all love to meet dean!!!

We tried a Mystic Pizza Veggie pizza early last summer and gave it

Funny thing about pizza, everyone has very strong opinions on what's a good pizza. I have a friend who loves the pizza from a local place. I think it tastes like cardboard. Not that I eat cardboard that often.

I don't know if I'll be able to or not. I have no idea what my schedule is for this summer, or what dates I'll be up there, and probably won't know for months. But I'll see what I can do.

Well, that roach farm is popular with the tourists.

The next time you're in the Mystic area you should head north on Rt. 1 for about twenty miles and cross the state line into Westerly, RI. The town is predominately Italian, with quite a few first and second generation Italian Americans, who know how to make real pizza. I'm particularly fond of one of the local pizzas there - pesce salat traditional sheet pizza.
