Default 2 Questions

Hey guy i have 2 things to ask

First i Started to see that i have have very very small rust spots near the Antenna what can i do to stop it from growing. Since the Car is an 06 i asked the dealer and they said they to buff and wax it and it sould be ok.

Second what the best thing to clean a windshield to remove any hard water spots.

Uhhh...you can't just 'buff and wax' out rust. Are you sure it's rust? If it is...I would be taking it back to them and saying they better find me a new one. Unless the car has been in an accident...there is no reason that there should be rust already.

Rust = car cancer.

unless the rust spots are from micro contamination from stuff embedded in the clearcoat.

If that's the case, claybar and then polish (as needed) and wax.

Distilled white vinegar can help with hard water spots

i agree with what been said. ur car should b covered for rust. i'd try to have the panel replaced. once it starts - theres nothing u can do. truly like cancer but theres no chemo or anything. wax is used to PREVENT - not cure or diagnose

Are you using some sort of super aggressive brake pad?

That's the only thing I can think of, but if you were, it wouldn't be isolated to one spot by the antenna. It'd be all over the sides of the car, and your wheels.

I'm with the others - this is for the warranty department at Honda. I hate to tell people bad news, but I think there's something wrong with the car.

First I've heard of such a thing.

I think if you read the warranty the rust protection is for rust through. Which is a safe bet for them to cover. They only way you are going to have a hole rusted into a body pannel during the warranty period is if you drive in salt all winter and never wash it off.

^ you can drive through salt all winter without washing, it will not rust through a painted/cleared section near the antenna especially considering underneath that portion of the car is inside the trunk so water cannot hit the underside

I think your rust spot should be covered by the car company.

As far as water spots on glass, try some glass polish:

Some good products on there.

I tried to take pic and will post them.

Someone asked about brake pads i only used OEM ones. I wash the car about every week if not the most 2 weeks if i cant do hand washes i wash with the jet car wash. I never wax cause i was told to never wax a car that was never waxed. the soap i use is the armor All. Also 2 times a year i use a Polish i cant think of the name but its the one they sell at every autoshow. Also I park across the street for the ocean.

Wax is just a protectant for the paint, you should definitely wax your car
