Default Loosing the "fresh, clean feeling"

I've only fully detailed my car a couple times (clean, polish, wax) and it always looks amazing after I'm done. However, it always seems after the first wash it looses the just waxed look and feel.

I always bucket wash at home and use new microfiber towels and finish off with some quick detailer.

Looking for advise on what I might be doing wrong, my only guess is maybe using hard water is stripping my wax?

If you think you are stripping your wax, pour some water on your paint and see if it beads.

A quick run around of Adam's Quick Detailer over the mutiple layers of Zaino I put on in march, and mine still looks like a mirrored champ.

i honestly don't know how strong that car wash is, but I can suggest to you some softer shampoos that might help you

meguiar's gold class is pretty mild
Chemical guys maxi suds is also good as a regular wash
Poorboys SSS was recommended to me too

which wax are you using? and how long is the time interval from when you wax your car to when you wash it?

if you're looking for durability, definitely try a sealant underneath the wax (zaino, jeff werkstatt, cg jetseal 109 to name a few)

Thanks for the input guys!

I'm using Meguiars Gold Class paste wax and I'd say the car gets driven maybe 4-5 times before I have to wash it (it's a garage queen).

this only lasts about a week so there's your problem. i'd suggest some chemical guys 50/50 paste wax for you. it lasts a month and gives a nice, wet look too
