Blue Coral High Foam Car Wash: Two Bucket Method
Super Polyshield Cleansing Clay (Given to me from a Friend)
Porter Cable
Lake Country Foam Pads: Yellow, Orange, White and Blue
Pinnacle XMT #3, #2 and #1
Pinnacle XMT Glaze
Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax
Concordia Microtex Microfiber Detailing Hand Towels

I have been washing/waxing, detailing cars off and on for about 15 years. I first heard about detailing clay about 4 years ago from a friend. I thought my Friend was crazy when He told me that he uses clay on His car until someone turned me on to a bar of detailing clay about 1 1/2 years ago.

Detailing clay will safely remove bonded contaminates with ease whereas a polish would take considerable effort to do what detailing clay can safely do with ease. My opinion of detailing clay... truely amazing.

I've had my Porter Cable for about 1 1/2 years now. In the time that I have been using the PC, I have learned what polishing is all about, and have honed my polishing skills on my S2000.

I have also taken up photography, but have come to the conclusion that I need a better camera than my Canon Powershot S500. There are a few adjustments that can be made to the S500, but for the most part, it is a point and click camera. The image sensor is considerable smaller than that of a DSLR camera body, as well as an inferior lens. The result is shitty quality compred to that of the consumer/semi-pro type DSLR.

I took over 500 pictures in a 3 week time span, most of which are not great pictures in terms of clarity, light balance, color, contrast ect. I have realized that I need a better camera, I'm thinking something along the line of a Canon Digital Rebel XTI.

I did the best that I could with the S500. I spent a couple of hours sorting the digital images to come up with about 15 pics.

Thanks for looking

Tony

Nice detail job, do you use anything specific for red paint in terms of wax? Also how do you PC the bumper? I could see that being very difficult around the sharp curves.

Tony, that thing looks money!

One thing you might (or might not) want to try. Phil sells a product by Adam's called "In and Out." I use it not only for my engine compartment, but for the fender liners in the front, the mystery mud flap looking things, and the black plastic inserts in the front bumper. Really makes them come alive. That kind of look may not be for you though, but it's far from the greasy, shiny used car dealer tire goo look.

I actually see now why Phil sells a three pack with a discount. I use the stuff a lot.
