303 Protectant...
No it does not harm the paint on the wiper arms.
And to answer an earlier question, 303 aerospace protectant DOES have some cleaning ability. Now if something is really filthy, 303 does sell a cleaner, and there are other cleaners out there. If it's filthy, use them. But if you only have some smudges and stuff like that , yes, 303 will clean them.

Oh, Yeah, I forgot one of the most important uses. For those of you with '00 or '01 s2ks with the plastic rear window, soak it down for a few hours with 303 a couple or three times a year, and clean it off with Plexus. This will keep your window soft and pliable, and more resistant to cracking and scratching.
Yeah. I put on the 303 with a piece of 1" thick foam, like they sell in sheets at fabric stores. I lay it on heavy, and particularly in the hot summer months, let it soak in over night. Then I wipe it off with a microfiber. There will still be smears left. Then I use Plexus to got those smears off. The end result is a soft as new plastic window. And usuallly as clear as new. If there are any scratches or cloudiness that has not been removed, I use a ROB with Meguair's PlasticX or similar abrasive polish for plastics, But do this only after you have softened the window as I have described. If you apply a ROB to a hardened plastic window, you might break it.

is the Wolfsteins RaggTopp Vinyl Protectant roughly equivalent to 303? Is there a general preference for 303 due to quality or availability? Pricing seems comparable.
Diabolus2k, you mentioned using Vinylex. Any particular reason for this over one of the others?

Yes I believe they are roughly equivalent. I choose 303 over Raggtopp though since I know for a fact it can be used on practically every rubber, plastic, and vinyl part on the car.
I never thought to use it on the plastic rear window though. I've been using Novus number 1 and 2 to clean, protect, and remove scratches and haze. It works pretty well.. I'm going to try soaking with 303, then hitting it the novus now. Thanks
