I had thought that there was a difference between the 303 used for the dash than that used for the soft top exterior. I remember buying some 303 from some auto parts place and someone mentioning that they don't have the 303 used for soft tops in stock. So all along I just used the 303 for the dash. Then I checked spadepot.com and saw what I thought was a good price for 303, which was to be used on vinly spa covers. "Well, if it's good for vinyl spa covers, it must be good for my vinyl soft top," so I ordered a bottle and lo and behold, it's practically identical to the larger (and probably cheaper) bottle of 303 I got from the auto parts store! The only difference is that the one I got from Spa Depot says, "SPF 40 Sunscreen for your stuff".

So is there a difference? You guys use the same 303 on your dash as well as your soft top? Jeez I feel like a noob.

ah well, now I have 2 bottles of 303.

 

There is a different 303 to use for *fabric* tops. Maybe that's part of the confusion.

 

dont worry, you will use up those 2 bottles sooner than you think!
use it on vinyl, including the top, and rubber (tires and hoses). i even use it on the under the hood plastic.
