When I take a long trip and have bugs dried to the front of my cars, I set up a yard sprinkler in front of the car and have it oscillate over the windshield and front bumper for an hour or so. The bugs just wipe off. I prefer this to using any strong chemicals on my paint.
I first start with a good coat of (your favorite) wax. Then I have been using Griots Speed shine. The stuff takes the bugs off with ease and then puts a coat of wax on at the same time. Not all of the Griots stuff is the best but I sure like this stuff. After I wash the car clean, I use it (SS) and you can feel the difference between the "before" Speed Shine areas and the "after" Speed Shine areas.
