Default Any risks storing for winter with rack on?

The car was cleaned and waxed (P21) before being put up on the 31st of October. But this is my first year owning the Classic Carrier trunk rack and I left it on for storage. Now I'm wondering if that might not be such a smart thing to do. Anyone have experience or comments to offer?

How hard is it to take the rack off? if it isn't too much of a hassle, I would probably just take it off...

The battery is disconnected, all servicing done, waxed, etc. and the car is stored in my outboard garage with a cover over it.

Here in South Dakota winter storage will run a full 5 months.

Aligning everything and then tightening the clamps down takes some time but isn't a major hardship. I simply didn't bother removing it when I put the car up for the winter which is why I'm now asking questions. If there were some risks or other solid reasons why the car would be better stored with the rack removed I wanted to know. Otherwise I'm inclined to leave it alone.
