Thumbs up Any Tips On Use Of Wool Leveling Pad W/ Microfiber

I know you can use a wool leveling pad with a microfiber bonnet to buff out the last coat of wax. Does it make a difference than doing it by hand? Also, how long should I wait after I apply the wax to use this combination?

The final coat of wax will be S100.

roger- with any wax or lsp you want it to fully cure before buffing... the longer the better for most. wax will set up fairly quickly but will not fully cure for awhile, and synthetics almost all require longer set-up and cure times.
the exception on set-up is the one you are using!! (s100 and p21s- wipe on wipe off)- s100 does still need awhile to cure if you will put a second coat. with any wax, a second coat can help but more will not. if it does not cure, then the second coat will remove the first (which is the main reason for the cure).

with p21s and a mf over lambswool, i always have an assistant. my fav is one of my kids- they apply the product and i buff it off.

if you already have the pads, go for it- if not, its not a big deal on our cars. on bigger cars the machine is nice. not hard to just mf the wax off from our cars. that said, i have used the mf over lambswool pad on my car several times just cause i like to!!

btw, one last comment- i see that you are asking about the last coat- you can use it on all coats. i like the edge pads for this cause you put on a coat of synthetic, let it cure- easily change the pad (snap off) then buff. snap off the buffing pad and snap on the application pad for the next coat.
i like the machine for applying the products cause you can more easily control the amount of product- and easier to keep the coat thin, imo.
trick for s100- use a rubber glove- tap the wax outta the container into your hand with the glove. rub the wax on the pad then put it back into the container...

so, if I let the 1st coat of s100 cure after I wipe it on then off, and apply the second coat, say, the next day, I can wait a little while, then buff it out? Then it should be good to go. Is there any difference between removing it by hand or removing it by machine?

Thanks wanabe
