i just did the zaino on my car. the first coat, i forgot to spray some Z6 on the polishing pad before applying, so i just applied Z2 directly onto the paint, is this bad? also after each coat, i waited about 15 mins in between but there was no powder residue left behind, why is that? i am scared that i have messed up on the zaino on my car. another thing is that its pretty hard to get my car completely dry so theres still small amount of water on some areas of the paint while i am applying zaino.

mr bumblebee- do a thorough clay job and you will be fine. just wash after claying and before zainoing.

dorami- z2 with zfx? z2 alone will work, but it is best with z1 or zfx. zaino is much more forgiving than most folks think. i have never had a zaino failure and have never heard of one.
if no powder after application that just means that you did it right. also a small amount of moisture wont blow it either.
the proof is how it looks...
and one thing i would do diff from what you described is to let it cure a bit longer. i just do interior or wheels or something else while it cures... or just pull it in the garage and forget about it for a few hours if i have done everything that needs to be done on the car.

got any pics?
are you happy with the results?

hey wanabe thanks a lot for all ur help. i started at 8:30 this morning and ended up stopping at 5:30pm. it got pretty dark while i just finished my 2nd coat. i applied my 3rd coat while theres no sunlight with just a dim light outside my garage. after my 2nd coat, it seem to turn out quite good. hopefully i did the 3rd coat right because now i can't tell if its good, its too dark now.

yah i did use Z2 with ZFX and Z6 in between coats.

you will be fine...
if you have any carnauba, try it over the zaino. you can either do that tomorrow or next time you wash and dry the car.

my bet is that your car is gonna look awesome in the light when you get to see it tomorrow. let us know!
