Best method to dry streak-free
My daily driver is black. I use the Cali water blade and Costco microfiber towels.
I used to just use a spray detailer immediately after drying but I've been using the "Wax as you Dry" stuff from Eagle 1.
good stuff

what about the product that "mr clean " sells , they claim no water stains or streaks , or your money back, attaches to your hose .it filters and adds something to the stream to prevent streaking

I will soap up a couple of panels, then just spray most of the soap off rather quickly, then go to the next, repeat. I don't thoroughly rinse the entire car till the end but I make sure the whole thing stays wet as I go around.
Hint, if you don't already, wash the shady side first and dry it last
I have the MR. Clean system, and for your average consumer it would probably be a god send, but I've not been too happy with it. It does dry without streaks, but you need to beable to let it sit for about 45 min. The filtering the water makes sense, and so far works. What I don't like is the soap system. The soap is not sudsey so I'm afraid it will leave micro scratches in the paint over time. Last time I tried running some out into a bucket to dip my mit in, but it still did not clean the mitt well enough between passes. I think next time I'm going to wash with a spot free wash like normal, and then go over the car with the filtered water after I'm done. But like I said before it does dry spot free, I just don't like the soap part.
I like the idea of having the filtered water to wash with.
This said has anyone thought about using one of the undersink water filter systems seen at hardware stores? I have looked into this and the filters are much larger and the actual filter inserts can be bought to filter in various ppm. Also I think the fittings could be hooked up in such a way to be able to connect it to any garden hose. I would think this would be mucho more effective than the little thing on mr clean and last longer.
The other idea I have is to run a line out using the water softener in the house.

Just for the record, I placed my order for the "big blue" today from properautocare.com. If anyone's interested, they have a special running where you get the big and little sizes of MF towel for $24.95. It's like a $40 value, so I scooped them up. The guy down there had nothing but positive remarks about the towels, too. Also picked up some 303 cleaner and conditioner for the top. Guess we'll just have to see when I wash my ride the next time!
read the link above, its all about the mr. clean system.
it does NOT work with just filtered water, you have to use their soap. It changes the contact angle, allowing the water to sheet instead of bead. Even clean water, if it beads, will leave spots.
