NXT stuff works great on rubber, the dash, and that kinda stuff. I really like it for that, but for the tires I would use something different. Even after a couple days, it gets the wheels all black. (almost looks like lots of brake dust, but isnt)

They have NXT Tire Spray now... It works pretty well.

I have used Zaino's tire shine with good results. It is not a gel, so it will not fling off. The tires don't really end up shiny, just very black. I like the look it gives. I never really liked shiny tires.

i've also been using zaino's tire product; it gives your tires a deep black look as if they were brand new tires, without being glossy (for some reason, glossy shiny tires look artificial and remind me of what what you'd see at a used car dealership where they gloss everything up on the outside and inside to make it look "nice")

I like the Meguire's tire gel. It last a long time. It won't sling off if you let it settle into the rubber like the directions say about 15 mins.

I like the Black Magic Tire Gel. Works good, and sticks pretty well.

sorry if this is a dumb question but are you supposed to just apply it on the tire or can you apply it to the tire plus rims?

armor all is terrible
Armor All earned a deserved bad rap a long time ago and a number of folks still knock it. The truth is Armor All was reformulated and is safe for tires and vinyl and a number of weekend warriors and pros on Autopia use it now.

I use mequiars endurance and have not tried much else since I began using it 3 years ago. The main reason I have not switched is that I have three cars and bought two bottles of the stuff and still have material left. I apply it with an Eagle one applicator, let it sit and wipe down the tires to remove the excess .... I have never had an issue with sling and endurance lasts a long time.

I always wipe off my rims after applying stuff to the rubber. I find that if you leave spillover on the rims, it attracts dirt and makes the rims look crappy.

I just let it dry and no mess on the car.
