Default Best way to clean the top of the dash?

Hi. What is the best way to clean the broad expanse of the top of the dashboard? After riding with the top down there are fine, white particles of dust there. Is there anything better to use than a cloth damp with water?

yup, vinylex or 303 would be my first choices-
spray a rag away from the car and rub it down good. try to keep it away from the glass (cause it smudges and just makes another mess)-

Between "treatments", try a baby California Duster (it's the little one):

Use a dashboard sponge, it is sort of a rubbery sponge that picks up all the dirt, best yet you don't even need to get it wet, I keep one under my seat at all times. Stopped at a red light, you have time to make it look perfect again...

I like to remove the dust before I apply a protectant like vinylex or 303 so the dust doesn't mix with the protectant and make a mess. Sometimes I'll use a brush attachment and vacuum the dash. Other times, if there's only a small amount of dust, I'll use a damp rag (water) to dust the dash. After it's clean I'll put on my protectant.

I use a microfiber glove. It's charged, so it picks up things. You just slip it on and pass it over everything. Gets rid of dust very easily.

I picked mine up for like $5 at Pep Boys.

I agree with Xviper, a baby California duster actually works well for the entire interior save for the carpets.
