I know about the minerals in tap water.

Some of the NSX owners use distilled/drinking water from the grocery store to wash their car. Drying is a cinch since the water is pure to begin with. No waterspots whatsoever. It's important to note however that this is only done during the FINAL rinse. Tap water is otherwise fine when washing with soap.

To save money, use generic brand water.

Water softner or distilled water work the best.
