Buffing out Headlights

Default Buffing out Headlights

Whats up everyone...

I want to buy a kit somewhere that I can buff out my head lights.. They are a little foggy.. Looking for a kit that I can put on my Drill and buff out the headlights.. if anyone knows where i can buy one please post up.. thanks

Everytime I clean my rear window, I spray a bit of Plexus on my headlights too. It works ok, but for some reason Plexus worked wonders on my friends Integras headlights.

I used 1000grit sandpaper, 1200 then 1500, followed by 2 coats of meguiars "plastix". My headlights look new again

i would try:

1. plexus

if that doesnt get it
2. mothers powerball

if that doesnt get it
3. the sanding that darkfx refers to

If you go the machine method, you should really be using a porter cable. A drill will leave the round swirl marks on your lenses.

This is a great thread on polishing headlights

I wouldn't recommend that you wetsand them unless they are so bad you're willing to replace them if the wetsanding doesn't work out.

Also, I just use the same polishes on my headlights that I use on my paint.

posts above reminded me...

if you have to go at all aggressive on this (anything above plexus), you will want to be sure to put some protection on the lights after they are cleared. i zaino mine-
