Default cameras/techniques you use to take...

I would like to know what cameras/settings/techniques everyone uses to take pics. Especially in bright sunlight. Some of you guys just taking amazing pics, and I know I suck at pic taking.
Anyone use a point and shoot?

Thanks
Roger

best is at "twilight"- just before dusk or right after dawn... next best is anything that is not direct sun.

or just shoot a whole bunch from diff angles - delete all but your favs.
walk around the car while looking for what you think would make a good pic and pay attention to light and shadows. i usually have to move the car after this walk around.

i use both my nikon d100 and a point and shoot- point and shoots are so great now that the diff is very small.

If you are trying to take photos of your paint to show the swirls in the clearcoat, but having a tough time getting the camera to auto focus, put your finger on the paint and focus the camera on your finger.
